The Heart Behind SteamyBookworms

Hi, I’m Emily. Before SteamyBookworms, I spent years as an art teacher, helping students discover the magic of human creativity. Leaving teaching wasn’t easy, but I knew I wanted to create something that honored the same values I taught every day. That art should feel alive, meaningful, and made by the people who have a passion for what they do.

I’ve always loved monsters. Villainous morally grey men, monstrous mates with extra appendages, unhinged heroes with too much hunger and not enough restraint...I wanted a space for readers like us. A place to find beautiful, exclusive editions that celebrate the time and effort every author pours into their work. Every box is designed to celebrate the creativity that was put into the stories.

SteamyBookworms is my way of combining everything I love: storytelling, art, creation, and community. What started as a selfish desire to make something beautiful has grown into a world where readers, authors, and artists come together to create something unforgettable.

We release bi-monthly special edition boxes (January, March, May, July, September, November), each crafted in small batches, and fully revealed before launch. You’ll always know exactly what you’re getting and I take pride in the quality we put out.

Why We Do It

Since launching in 2024, we’ve collaborated with incredible indie authors and human artists, raised funds for meaningful causes like RAINN, built a growing community of dark romance and monster readers, and earned a Global Recognition Award for artistic accomplishment. More than anything, we’ve created a place where readers feel seen and where the worlds they love aren’t just printed but brought to life through art, atmosphere, and care.
